Fall Wedding at Dancing Pines

I was over the moon when Jordan and Martin asked me to officiate their September ceremony at Dancing Pines. I am always excited to be chosen as an officiant, but this opportunity was extra special. I have a history with the couple and Jordan has a connection to Dancing Pines.

About 3 years ago I was invited to participate with a styled shoot at Dancing Pines. Jordan and Martin were the β€œmodels”, at that time their relationship was just starting to blossom. Also, Jordan was new to the region and her catering business that she started with her brother and sister-in-law was just getting off the ground, it’s called Butter and Salt.

Since then, obviously Jordan and Martin’s relationship only flourished, which I’m not surprised. They seemed so connected during their shoot, and I could just tell they were meant for each other.

Butter and Salt has been Dancing Pines’ preferred caterer, and I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing their talents first hand at multiple weddings. Recently, they expanded and opened my new favorite bakery called Perenn Bakery and when I’m lucky I get to see Jordan behind the counter. With the Butter and Salt team catering, it felt like it was a family affair, I’m so thrilled that Jordan and Martin chose Dancing Pines for their venue.

Dancing Pines Ceremony

They had family and friends visit from all over the country to witness their celebration of marriage. The ceremony site beneath the tall pines has the Little Truckee River as the backdrop. This fall day included all the seasons, as it was snowing on my drive up to Dancing Pines and the sun made it’s appearance for the ceremony and then began to rain soon after. Fortunately, they opted for a heated clear tent for the reception.

β€œI now pronounce you husband and wife!”

β€œI now pronounce you husband and wife!”

Jordan’s sister-in-law (her brother’s wife) was her maid of honor. This truly shows just how loving and close their family is, especially because they run a business together. The rich fall/winter tones were so warm and vibrant, the details were carried throughout venue.

The Vows

Here you can see the way I segway into the I Do’s (Declaration of Consent), showing how personal the ceremony was even without the couple sharing their own written vows.

Martin, the woman whose hands you hold loves you wholeheartedly.

You appreciate Jordan’s giving nature. She only ever wants to make others happy.

You admire her humility and ability to have an open mind, even when she may be wrong

You love the importance that her family holds in her life, and the unconditional love she shows them always.

You smile the most when Jordan, is happiest, when she feels at home enough to be herself, and when she goes out of her way to do something especially generous for you.

This is the woman who has chosen you to live by her side for the rest of your lives.

You must never take her for granted.  But keep your heart open, and turn toward her.  Your life and love will be Jordan’s greatest source of joy, and so I ask;

Do you Martin welcome Jordan as your wife, offering her your love and encouragement, your trust and respect, as together you create your future?

I do!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You admire Martin’s passion and his commitment to those passions.
You appreciate his kindness and his willingness to make sure that you are always well taken care of.
And you love his hunger for adventure and his desire to always take advantage of our beautiful outdoors.
It’s the little things that make you smile the most, like when Martin warms your car up on a cold morning, when you fall asleep without water on my nightstand and wake up to a full glass, when he tells you that you are beautiful when you are feeling like you’re at your worst and especially when Martin texts you that he misses you in the middle of a random day.
He will continue to be by your side as you experience life’s greatest adventures that are still  yet to come.
You must never take him for granted.  But keep your heart open, and turn toward him.  Your life and love will be Martin’ greatest source of joy, and so I ask;
Do you Jordan welcome Martin as your husband, offering him your love and encouragement, your trust and respect, as together you create your future?
I do!
The Party
The guests felt cozy and well taken care of within the heated clear tent. Blankets and umbrellas were available and the florals, table settings and food were so gorgeous and added to the already beautiful surroundings. The tables and stage surrounded the dance floor and made such a festive setting, with The Dead Winter Carpenters, a bluegrass style band hailing from Tahoe, made the night for dancing.
